The rough cut of a music video I shot for my wife. We did this purely for fun, but it turned out kinda great. We need to re-record the backing track and do some color correction, but I think the rest of the pieces are in their right place.
A short piece I shot/directed/cut for my friend Brendan Finnegan at Your World Drum Circles. This is just something small and fun we put together on a shoestring budget. The camera was a Sony F55 with a Canon 24-70 zoom and some CP.2 Primes for the interviews.
A recent Superbowl project with Rob Riggle and Joe Namath. Those poor models were freezing.
Julie Taymor’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Director of Photography: Rodrigo Prieto. Shot on 4 F55s.
It was an honor working on this beautiful project. I look forward to the film’s release.
The first of two commercials I shot for Vodacom in Dar Es Salaam this past week. For those that don’t speak Swahili, it’s saying that Vodacom users can win 1,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings if they text a special number. Nimashinda means “I won!”
A couple behind the scenes photos from my latest Tanzanian adventure. We did two spots over two days for Vodacom. Many thanks to Khanga Rue Media and my amazing director, producers and crew.
My latest reel. Hope you enjoy.
The teaser for a documentary series I shot in Tanzania about the mining industry. We did this project over a 14 day stretch, and I saw some amazing parts of the country in the process. It was produced by Khanga Rue Media.
A fundraising film I shot for Vodafone and the non-profit organization CCBRT in Tanzania. CCBRT runs a hospital in Dar Es Salaam treating women afflicted with obstetric fistulas caused by obstructed births. The shoot was produced by Khanga Rue Media, and directed by the venerable Pat Olvera.
An early trailer for Arcade, a documentary I shot about Arcade Culture with the talented director and producer, Kurt Vincent.
A compilation of moments I captured in the Winter of 2010/2011 whilst doing other things. Shot primarily in the New York Metropolitan area, with a jaunt to the French Alps. Almost entirely handheld HDSLR work, cobbled together and scored to Prefuse 73
An iphone shoved on the window of the Olympic gondola in Val’D'Isere, and held there for the 5 minutes it takes to go down that amazing lift. Sped up 2x to match with the sweet sounds of Jose Gonzalez.
My first narrative project as a director. I wrote/produced/shot and edited this short film, though I got by with a lot of help from my friends. A labor of love and learning. Hope you enjoy.
